
The Landguard Room features artefacts, maps
and photographs depicting military life at the fort
from the time of Henry VIII to the 1950's.
The Navy Room contains models, artefacts and
uniforms from both the Merchant and Royal Navy.
The Beehive Room charts the history of Coastal Forces, particularly the WWII base at Felixstowe. A new feature is the commemorative clock from the Dock Basin which is now being filled in for the new port development.

Named after local businessman Cyril Wiseman,
the Wiseman Room contains items, models
and photographs telling the history of the Royal
Naval Air Service, Marine Aircraft Experimental
Establishment and RAF Felixstowe.

The Darell Room is named after Captain Nathaniel
Darell, Governor of Landguard Fort during the time
of the last invasion of England in 1667. It contains
several Roman finds from the local area and a very
interesting shed!

The Model Room houses lots of wonderfully
constructed model aircraft, tanks and ships.
These beautifully detailed models have been
donated, restored or built by museum members
and really bring history alive.

Artefacts, images and history from Felixstowe's
rich past including displays from Victorian and
Edwardian times can be found in the Local History Room.

The General Store. Household items, shopping
and prices! from a bygone era.

The St. Audry's Room contains artefacts from the now demolished hospital, once known as the Suffolk County Asylum. Also featured are pictures painted by the patients.

The Felgate Room, named in honour of our local historian Tom Felgate, is the home of our yearly special exhibition. This year features 100 years of the Spa Pavilion, radio equipment from the Felixstowe ferry Pride of Suffolk, 70 years from the outbreak of WWII and stocks and whipping post from Walton.
There are other interesting areas in the museum that must be explored to be appreciated!
